Nate Huston

Nate Huston is entering his 13th year at the College in 2023-24, and his fifth as the head athletic trainer. Huston previously spent seven years as an assistant athletic trainer and a year as the associate head athletic trainer prior to being elevated to head athletic trainer upon the retirement of Tom Love. Huston’s primary sports include football and men’s lacrosse.

Huston came to the College from Syracuse University, where he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the Orange’s football and nationally-prominent men’s lacrosse teams. Prior to Syracuse, Huston was a student athletic trainer at the University of Mount Union where he worked with the Purple Raiders’ 2008 national championship team.

Huston holds a master’s degree in exercise science from Syracuse and a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Mount Union. He earned his certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association in 2009, and his Ohio licensure in 2011.

Personally, Huston and his wife, Mikayla, reside in Wooster.
