The awards continue to roll in for The College of Wooster's Kyle Cunningham-Rhoads, as the senior right-hander was voted the NCAA Div. III Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), it was announced Thursday, for the week of April 9-15.

Earlier in the week, Cunningham-Rhoads was picked as the North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week and he also was a member of D3baseball.com's Team of the Week.

In his lone appearance last week, Cunningham-Rhoads threw the 16th perfect game on record in NCAA Div. III history Sunday afternoon at Hiram College, setting down all 21 batters he faced in the second game of a doubleheader that saw Wooster sweep Hiram 7-2 and 16-0.

Prior to this gem, Cunningham-Rhoads had endured arm trouble at times during his collegiate career, logging just 25.0 innings over the last three seasons. Now seeing significant action as a front-line starter for the Fighting Scots, Cunningham-Rhoads worked the first complete game of his career, as he cruised through the Terriers' lineup. A ball did not reach the outfield until the fourth inning and he finished with four strikeouts.

The perfect game was the second by a Wooster pitcher, with the first by Mark Bricker against Denison University on May 7, 1989. It also marked the program's 12th no-hitter.
