D3baseball.com Team of the Week Release

Senior catcher Dan Gail and senior first baseman/designated hitter Dan Harwood were named to D3baseball.com's Team of the Week for their performances in games played March 9-15.

Gail was a monster behind the dish last week, as he slashed .563/.667/1.125 over six games. The biochemistry and molecular biology major went 9-for-16 with 10 RBI, seven runs scored, four walks, two doubles, two triples, and a home run. He had a pinch-hit triple and later walked during Wooster's 13-12 win over then-No. 15 Marietta College on Saturday. Earlier in the week, Gail was 3-for-3 with a RBI, double, and run scored against Haverford College and 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs scored, two walks, a double, and a homer versus Bridgewater State University. He went 2-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored during a senior day win versus Alfred State University.

Harwood went 15-for-25 (.600) with 11 RBI, nine runs scored, three doubles, three walks, and a homer over six games last week. The business economics major was 4-for-6 with two RBI and a walk during Wooster's 13-12 win over then-15th-ranked Marietta and went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored against the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Wooster's last D3baseball.com Team of the Week honoree was then-sophomore Andrew Hill on April 23, 2019. Wooster last had multiple players (Harwood and alumnus Drew Tornow) honored in the same week on April 10, 2018.
