Following his second three-hit shutout of the year, The College of Wooster's Evan Faxon has earned another North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honor, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Faxon's brilliant outing came during Thursday's 10-0 seven-inning win over Wittenberg University. The senior left-hander retired the final 11 Wittenberg batters he faced, faced three batters over the minimum, and only allowed one Tiger to reach scoring position. Faxon struck out eight en route to picking up his fourth win of the year.

Earlier this season, Faxon fired a three-hitter against Ohio Wesleyan University to open the season. In that outing, only one Battling Bishop reached scoring position, and thanks to a pair of double plays, he faced two batters over the minimum in a 1-0 eight-inning victory.

This is Faxon's third career NCAC Pitcher of the Week honor. He also earned the award on May 6, 2019.

Of note, Faxon's the second repeat NCAC Pitcher of the Week this spring, and Wooster has the most total honorees with three.

Wooster's (22-9) next scheduled contest takes place on Saturday, May 15 at Case Western Reserve University (18-8) at 1 p.m.
