Anthony Named NCAC Athlete of the Week For Second Time
First-year throws eight solid innings in win against Hiram
First-year pitcher Devin Anthony claimed his second North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors on Monday.
Anthony improved to 5-0 in his lone start last week, throwing eight innings in an 8-2 win over Hiram College. He struck out six and allowed just four hits.
His only blemish was a run in the ninth when he was taken out after allowing the first two batters on.
Anthony started the game retiring seven straight Terriers. He allowed a hit in just the fourth and sixth innings before allowing two in the ninth.
On the year, Anthony has thrown 41 innings to a 3.51 ERA.
Wooster (15-19, 10-4 NCAC) will host Wabash College on Saturday in its final NCAC doubleheader of the regular season.
