Kramer’s Selection Runs Baseball’s All-America Run to Nine Years

Ryan Kramer's selection as a second-team D3baseball.com All-American marks the ninth straight year The College of Wooster's baseball program has had at least one All-American. The popular website dedicated to coverage of NCAA Div. III baseball unveiled its All-America team on Wednesday.
Kramer joins Wooster greats Matt Groezinger (D3baseball.com 2009-first-team), Dan Harwood (American Baseball Coaches Association 2018-second-team, 2019-second-team; D3baseball.com 2018-second-team, 2019-first-team), and Kurt Kapferer (ABCA 2006-first-team) as All-American designated hitters.
The consensus ABCA and D3baseball.com first-team All-Region 7 performer holds top-30 national marks in RBI per game, slugging, average, and home runs per game this spring. He led Wooster with a .449 average (62-for-138) and sported a .449/.509/.819 slash line. Kramer logged 27 extra base hits, with 14 doubles, 11 homers, and two triples. He drove in 55 runs, scored 43 times, and logged 19 walks. Kramer earned first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors after leading the league in hitting, home runs, and slugging.
Kramer was at his best from March 30 through April 13, batting .500 (17-for-34) with 19 RBI, 14 runs scored, and six home runs. He earned D3baseball.com Team of the Week honors following a four-homer week that came in the midst of his 15-game hitting streak.
The ABCA announces its All-America team following the opening ceremony of the NCAA Div. III Championships on Thursday, May 30.
