Perez Joins Baseball Staff as Full-Time Assistant

Andres Perez is The College of Wooster's new full-time assistant baseball coach. Perez starts at the College on November 15.
Perez arrives in Wooster after most recently working in the Stark Raiders travel organization as director of player development. Perez joined the Stark Raiders following a four-season run on staff of NCAA Div. II Walsh University. At Walsh, Perez primarily focused on defense and hitting development. Walsh led its conference in fielding percentage in 2022 and had the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glover winner at first base. As an assistant hitting coach, Perez helped Walsh finish 2021 with a .305 team average.
As a player, Perez wrapped up a successful career at Clarke University, a NAIA school in Iowa, which made the national tournament both years he was on the team. There, he batted .324 (56-for-173) over 79 games. Perez scored 30 runs, drove in 29, swiped 16 bases, and had 13 extra base hits as an infielder. His collegiate career started at Queensborough Community College where he was a first-team all-conference infielder in 2017.
Perez has an MBA from Walsh and a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Clarke.
