D3baseball.com Preseason All-America Team
The College of Wooster's Ryan Kramer was named a second-team D3baseball.com Preseason All-American by the popular website dedicated to NCAA Div. III baseball on Tuesday.
Last spring, Kramer was the second player in program history to be named an American Baseball Coaches Association All-American and a College Sports Communicators' Academic All-American® in the same season. The elite hitter earned a spot on D3baseball.com's All-America team in 2024 and was a first-team selection to both the ABCA and D3baseball.com All-Region 7 teams. The first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honoree led the league and turned heads nationally in several offensive categories. He was the conference leader in batting average at .437 (55-of-126), slugging percentage (.802), and RBI per game (1.71). Kramer ranked 21st nationally in average, sixth nationally in RBI per game, and 14th nationally in slugging.
Kramer came up just short of having the 17th 60-RBI season in program history, and his 10 home runs, 12 doubles, and two triples were all team-high marks. Kramer landed on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week on April 17 after a week that saw multiple hits in all four games and blasting four home runs. Kramer strung together a 15-game hitting streak in the middle of the season and closed the season on a modest five-game hitting streak, all of which were multi-hit performances.
As a first-year, Kramer was one of three Scots to play in all 41 games and ranked fifth on the team with a .324 average (44-for-136). He led Wooster with 36 RBI as a first-year and was second with 10 doubles. Kramer added 25 runs, three homers, and two triples on the first-year stat line and was the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association Div. III co-Rookie of the Month for February after debuting with a 6-for-10 doubleheader against Grove City College.
Kramer, and Wooster, open their season against North Park University (Illinois) at Berea College (Kentucky) on February 15.
