Michele Ionno, a licensed physiotherapist and College of Wooster alumnus, is a volunteer assistant for the baseball program. Ionno works with the team on strength and conditioning, functional movements, and injury prevention.
Professionally, Ionno is the owner and founder of Advancing Athletics, a company that utilizes the expertise of professional clinicians and coaches to ensure clients excel in athletics and thrive in life. Prior to founding a company, Ionno worked as a physical therapist in Massachusetts. He holds a doctorate degree in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, a master’s in exercise and sports science from Texas Tech University, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Wooster.
At Wooster, Ionno was a member of the football team, earning a letter following the 2005 season.
