This senior class has posted a 24-14 record, highlighted by a pair of 8-2 seasons (2006, 2008). Kickoff against Oberlin is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST.

All-Time Series: Wooster has played Oberlin more often than any other opponent, however, the series is very one-sided with the Scots owning a 62-22-2 advantage. Since 1986, Wooster has emerged victorious in 19 of 20, including a 16-game winning streak (1986-2002). In 2003, the Yeomen upset a then-No. 13 ranked Wooster team 14-7.
Last Game: The Scots scored three touchdowns covering 50-plus yards, all in the second quarter, but it was not enough as Allegheny College came back for a 24-21 triumph during the teams' NCAC match-up played in Meadville, Pa., Oct. 31. Both entered the day with just one league loss and hopes of sharing the 2009 NCAC title, but when a 38-yard field goal by Wooster strayed right with 1:04 left, Allegheny remained the lone squad, besides first-place Wittenberg University, in control of its destiny.
Right after the Gators broke a scoreless tie on a seven-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter, the Scots began their series of long plays. First, tight end Cameron Daniels (Clarksburg, W. Va. / Byrd) took an Austin Holter (Johnstown, Ohio / Johnstown-Monroe) pass 51 yards for Wooster's initial score, completing a six-play, 75-yard drive.
A few series later, Taylor Trout (Nashport, Ohio / Tri-Valley) halted an Allegheny drive with an interception, and three plays after that, Jordan McIntyre (Steubenville, Ohio / Steubenville) broke off a 63-yard catch-and-run to give the Scots a 14-7 lead with :46 remaining in the half.
It appeared that would be the score going into the break, but then Trout came up with a second big play, turning a punt into a 55-yard return for a touchdown at the :06 mark. Suddenly, Wooster appeared to be in command with a 21-7 cushion.
The only scoring of the third quarter came on a 39-yard field goal, as the Gators crept within 21-10.
The Scots nearly returned the favor early in the fourth, but a 44-yard field goal glanced off the left upright. Allegheny turned around and marched 73 yards in eight plays, capped by a three-yard touchdown pass, which made the score 21-17 with 8:44 on the clock.
The ensuing offensive series started well for Wooster, as it got two first downs, but then the Scots fumbled for the lone turnover of the game. The Gators were back in the end zone just six plays later for what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown.
Overall, Holter led all rushers with 50 net yards on 12 attempts and he was 14-of-33 passing for 223 yards and the two touchdowns without a turnover. The top receiver was McIntyre, who finished with four catches and 86 yards, while Robert Flagg (Dunedin, Fla. / Dunedin) contributed 43 rushing yards and 28 receiving.
Holter's Records Watch: Austin Holter (Johnstown, Ohio / Johnstown-Monroe) is quite simply putting together one of the best seasons by a quarterback in Wooster history. Holter is well ahead of pace to reset his own mark for total offense, currently with 2,483 yards, just 229 short of his 2008 number (2,712). Additionally, he already has 165 completions, 1,836 passing yards, and 19 passing touchdowns, which leaves him only 11 completions and 200 yards shy of a couple of John Ramsier school records established in 1992 as well as two touchdown passes shy of Rich Judd's 1997 mark in that category.
In the career portion of the Scots' record book, Holter needs 292 yards of total offense to catch Judd (7,331) and 289 rushing yards to become the first quarterback to hit the 2,000 milestone.
