Dan Terhune added one final award to his haul for the 2010 season, as The College of Wooster's junior defensive tackle was named to D3football.com's All-America Second Team, the website announced prior to Saturday's Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the NCAA Div. III national championship game.

Terhune, who becomes the Fighting Scots' first All-American since offensive lineman Rick Drushal in 2005, also was a first-team all-region and all-North Coast Athletic Conference pick this year. The 6-0, 260-pound interior lineman was a consistent force, making at least 1.0 sack in six games en route to ranking tied for ninth in Div. III at 1.10 per game. His 11.0 total sacks led the league and was a school record for the defensive tackle position.

Terhune also ranked among the top-40 nationally in tackles for loss (1.45 per game), tallying 14.5 for 93 yards, and he was in on at least five tackles in six games while recording 47 in all, the seventh-most on the team. Two of Terhune's best outings came against nationally-ranked opponents, as he produced a career-high 3.0 sacks and seven tackles at No. 22 Wabash College Sept. 11 and a four-yard sack among his seven tackles against No. 9 Wittenberg University on Nov. 13.

Entering his senior season, Terhune has 14.0 sacks, which is tied for 10th in team history, as well as 80 tackles (20.0 for loss) over 24 games played.
