The College of Wooster's Russell Boston will be among the recipients of a $2,000 postgraduate scholarship at Tuesday night's Mike Cleary Northeastern Ohio Chapter of the National Football Foundation's annual scholar-athlete awards banquet.
Boston, a semifinalist for the NFF's prestigious Campbell Trophy, started for 3.5 years at slot receiver. He amassed 979 yards on 102 receptions with six touchdowns. In his final game, Boston hauled in eight receptions for 86 yards and a score against North Coast Athletic Conference tri-champion Wittenberg University.
The biochemistry and molecular biology major plans to pursue a master's of biomedical sciences before enrolling in medical school.
