D3football.com All-Region Release

Sophomore Cole Hissong and senior D'Andre Brown were voted to D3football.com's All-North Region Team, as announced by the website on Tuesday. Hissong was a second-team selection, while Brown was named to the third-team.

Hissong, who debuted on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team as a first-team selection, ranked fifth league-wide with 527 yards and tied for fifth with five touchdowns. The education and history major's signature outing came at DePauw University on October 5. There, he turned seven receptions into a career-high 194 yards and two touchdowns. Hissong's yardage from the DePauw contest is the sixth-most in program history.

Brown, Wooster's first repeat selection to the all-region team since Brandon James (2013-14), earned his second consecutive All-NCAC first-team selection earlier this fall. The mathematics major was the anchor of Wooster's defense this fall, a unit that's currently ranked third within Div. III in red zone defense (47.1 percent of opponent's drives in the red zone ended in scores) and 25th in scoring defense (16.2 points per game).

Of note, D3football.com has sponsored an all-region team since 2005, and Brown is just the fifth Scot to earn a pair of all-region certificates.

Wooster went 6-4 this fall, which included a 5-4 ledger within the NCAC.
