Lake Barrett, Wooster Football D3football.com All-Region 4 Team

The awards and honors keep rolling in for The College of Wooster's Lake Barrett, who is now a two-time D3football.com All-Region honoree after scoring first-team honors from the website dedicated to covering all things NCAA Div. III football on Wednesday.

Barrett, this year's North Coast Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Year, is one of 10 national finalists from a pool of over 700 eligible colleges for this year's Fred Mitchell Award, given annually to the best non-NCAA Div. I Football Bowl Subdivision placekicker. The senior collected all-conference honors for the fourth time, becoming the eighth player in program history to earn All-NCAC honors in four different years.

This fall, Barrett went 8-for-10 on field goals and was a perfect 43-for-43 on extra-point tries. The senior matched a collegiate-long with a 42-yard field goal in the season finale at Wittenberg University. That make capped Barrett's program record at 29 field goals and he finished second all-time with a 76 percent success rate. Barrett went 155-for-156 on extra points over his career and made 134 straight over the last three-plus years of his career. Barrett's 99.4 percent success on extra points is tops all-time in program history, while the 155 makes are the second-most. Barrett's 242 points rate second among placekickers and are the fifth-most points in program history.

Barrett's other all-region season came in 2021 when he went 47-for-47 on extra points and 8-for-10 on field goals, coincidentally, with a long of 42 yards.
