Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: I chose to attend The College of Wooster because it is a great academic school, has rich extracurricular activities, and I was in love with the campus itself.
Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: It means to be the premier definition of a student-athlete by balancing high-level varsity sports and academics and succeeding at both.
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: My favorite athletic memory is coming back to win against Wittenberg University when we were losing by 26 points. My favorite academic memory is writing my Junior Independent Study for classics and diving into reading about Julius Caesar and his conquests.
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster is meeting all different types of people and being able to make friends with them all!
Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: Besides my sport, I was heavily involved in Phi Sigma Alpha, Inter-Greek Council, Eta Sigma Phi, Omicron Delta Epsilon, Jenny Investment Club, which manages a small portfolio of the College's endowment, and I am a peer tutor. I served on the executive boards for Phi Sigma Alpha, Inter-Greek Council, and Eta Sigma Phi.
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Dr. Mark Graham, my first-year seminar professor, because of the class I took with him. The class being good really helped me transition into college-level academics, and balance football with that. Dr. Grahm's class has led to my continued success on the field and in the classroom.
Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: The entire football coaching staff and my advisors for both of my majors. They impacted my Wooster experience in a positive way by supporting my growth and guiding me in the right direction.
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: My I.S. project is focused in business economics and looks at how Federal Reserve monetary policy decisions and information releases impact residential investments. I have an interest in the housing market due to my future ambition of owning a home and investing in real estate.
Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: Some cools things I did as a student at The College of Wooster are writing Junior I.S. projects for two separate majors and traveling overnight for football. I found this cool because I got to research and write in depth about two very different topics that I am deeply interested in. Traveling for a football was something I had never done before.
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: It is okay that you do not have it all figured out. Work hard, do the right things, trust God, and everything else will work itself out. Be patient with yourself and others.
