Our "Senior Salute" series continues with Seth Robinson, a communication studies major from Mesquite, Texas. Robinson is a member of the football team.
Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: Wooster's coaches made me feel wanted. That was important for me due to losing a lot of opportunities during COVID. Wooster came through and gave me a chance.
Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: Being a Fighting Scot means upholding longstanding traditions and values of athletic and academic success.
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: My favorite memory is meeting many different people throughout my time here.
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The best part is suiting up in Black and Gold and representing the College.
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Dr. Michelle Johnson, who took me in as an advisee after my first year here. Dr. Johnson guided me academically to be a better student.
Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: My football coaches, particularly Frank Colaprete, Zach Dennis, and Brian Kooser have been an amazing support system throughout my time here. They have always led me in the right direction and held me accountable.
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: My Independent Study looks at how the media framing of aviation incidents shapes the public's perception of aviation safety, in particular, with the recent Boeing 737 MAX controversy.
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: Go to APEX (Wooster's center for advising, planning, and experiential learning) and get a blue calendar. It makes a difference.
