OBERLIN, Ohio – The College of Wooster field hockey team collected its first conference win with a 3-0 victory at Oberlin College on Saturday.

Senior Harriet Sudduth started scoring early in the fifth minute via an assist from junior Sydney Schuster, who found Sudduth off a penalty corner.

Sudduth then paid it back with an assist of her own to sophomore Katie Agatucci just nine minutes later for the Scots to lead 2-0 after the first period. That goal once again came shortly after another penalty corner.

Agatucci scored again in the third period to cap the scoring for the Scots thanks to an assist from junior Sammi Pavlecic.

Wooster outshot Oberlin 17-1 and blanked the Yeowomen on penalty corners 10-0.

Junior Katie Shideler and first-year Zoë Semersky split time in the cage to combine for the shutout. Shideler started to record the win.

Wooster is now 4-10 overall and 1-5 in the NCAC. Oberlin falls to 3-12 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

The Scots host Allegheny College on Tuesday.
