Sophomore Katie Agatucci scored two goals for the second straight game to lead The College of Wooster field hockey team to a 3-2 win over Allegheny College on Tuesday.

Wooster took advantage of being a player up in the second period after a yellow card sent an Allegheny player to the sidelines for five minutes. In that span, junior Sydney Schuster tied the game at 1-1 before Agatucci broke that tie two minutes later.

Schuster scored unassisted and then assisted on Agatucci's goal by leading her into a breakaway.

Allegheny tied it in the 24th minute as the teams headed into halftime at 2-2. Both teams then decided to make a goalkeeper change as first-year Zoë Semersky subbed in for junior Katie Shideler, and Allegheny subbed Heather Amancio in for Hallie Reiger.

Agatucci was able to score in the third period after rebounding a shot taken by Schuster and scoring off the pickup. That goal wound up being the game-winner in the 40th minute.

For the game, Wooster outshot the Gators 28-11. That advantage came mostly from a strong second half, in which they outshot the Gators 22-4.

Semersky made three saves to collect her first win in the cage. Amancio collected the loss despite collecting 12 saves in the second half.

Agatucci's goals put her at seven for the year, tying her with junior Caitlyn O'Connor for the team-lead. Schuster's goal was her fourth of the year.

Wooster improves to 5-10 overall and 2-5 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Allegheny, a first-year program, moves to 2-15 overall and 1-6 in the NCAC.

The Scots wrap up NCAC play Saturday with a trip to Kenyon College.
