All-NCAC Field Hockey Release

Four College of Wooster field hockey student-athletes earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference certificates on Wednesday, as the annual team was announced by the league office. Senior Harriet Sudduth debuted on the all-conference team as a first-team selection, while juniors Sydney Schuster and Katie Shideler were second-team honorees. Sophomore Katie Agatucci rounded out Wooster's selections as an honorable mention pick.

Sudduth, a four-year anchor in Wooster's backfield, was part of a unit that shut out Oberlin College on October 26, while the Scots allowed one goal in four other games this year. The mathematics major was often a go-to on penalty corners, and she contributed two goals and two assists on the offensive end.

Schuster, now a three-time all-conference selection, saw more time in the midfield this year than in seasons past. The sociology major still contributed significantly inside the circle, where she finished the year second on the team in assists (4), third in goals (4), and third in shots (31).

Shideler, also a three-time all-conference honoree, ranked second in the NCAC with 135 saves, and she's finished in the top two in stops each year during her career. Shideler tallied a co-season-high 14 saves at Centre College on September 8 and at Wittenberg University on October 5.

Agatucci's selection marked the forward's debut on the all-conference team. She led Wooster in goals (7), assists (7), and shots (21). The sophomore's signature games included a three-goal, three-assist afternoon versus Concordia University Wisconsin on September 22, and she had two goals in both of Wooster's NCAC victories.
