Vote Daily to Make Pannell the "Dark Horse Dunker"
Wooster senior one of 16 finalists attempting to get spot in State Farm Slam Dunk Championship
Press Release | Highlight Video
Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 11, fans of The College of Wooster men's basketball team will get the chance to share with the world what they already know – that senior Evan Pannell is one of the nation's best dunkers.
Pannell, who had this highlight-reel dunk against Wittenberg University earlier this year, has been selected as one of 16 finalists in the State Farm "Dark Horse Dunker" competition. He is now entered into a bracket-style fan vote-off against other under-the-radar college players, with the winner earning a chance to compete at the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, which will take place during NCAA Div. I Final Four weekend (April 2), and be broadcast live on ESPN.
In order to get Pannell into the national spotlight, we need your help! For the next seven days you can visit DarkHorseDunker.com and vote for him in his first-round match-up, using your Facebook, Twitter, and email accounts.
In fact, if you have all three platforms, you can vote for Pannell three times a day (which is highly encouraged). To do so:
1. Go to DarkHorseDunker.com and click "vote" which prompts you to login to your Twitter, Facebook, or Dark Horse Dunker email account (which can be created by selecting the "sign up with your email" link and then following instructions).
2. Once your vote is cast on one platform, find the "account" link in the top right-hand corner of the page and logout.
3. Now you can click "vote" again, this time logging into a different platform.
The first-round voting will end next Wednesday, Feb. 18, and if Pannell receives more votes than his opponent, he'll move onto the next round.
Use the hashtag #VotePeezy to spread the word on Twitter and don't forget to vote daily! Let's go Scots!
