Hard-nosed and aggressive player on the court, who shows a high level of maturity … Exceptional ball-handler and has very good instincts … Also a capable shooter.

2015-16: Emerged as the team’s starting point guard midway through the season, and started the final 17 games of the year … Overall, entered all 32 contests, and averaged 23.6 minutes … Averaged 9.1 points per game, a total tied for third on the team … Led the team with 3.1 assists, including 3.7 per start … Scored a then-season-high 17 points in first start versus Allegheny (Jan. 20) … Netted season-high 24 points in home win over Kenyon (Feb. 3) … Went 7-for-12 from the floor, including 5-for-9 from behind the arc against the Lords … Reached double figures in points 14 times … Came up with a key steal late in regulation, and was one of four starters in double figures in Wooster’s overtime win over Endicott (March 5) in the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to Wooster: Two-time member of the All-Greater Western Ohio Conference Team at Centerville High School, coached by Brook Cupps … Helped lead the Elks to their most wins in a season, as they went 23-4 in 2014-15 … Led the team in rebounding as a guard, as well as assists and steals.

Personal: Born Jan. 8, 1997 … Son of Fred, a member of the W Association Hall of Fame who played basketball for Wooster during the late 1970s, and Heather Balser … Has yet to declare a major.
