Senior Danyon Hempy collected his third career North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor on Monday, as the conference office recognized The College of Wooster men's basketball star for his superior performances last week.

On Wednesday, the psychology major knocked down a 15-foot jumper from the wing with 5.1 seconds left to lift Wooster to a 62-61 road win against Allegheny College. Hempy's stat line against the Gators included 18 points, six rebounds, three steals, and two assists. His other big highlight came with 10:47 remaining in the first half, when he slammed home a monster one-handed dunk.

Hempy's 21 points led all scorers during Wooster's 79-74 win over Wabash College on Saturday. The senior finished 8-of-16 from the floor, 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, and was 2-of-3 at the charity stripe.

On the year, Hempy's averaging 20.7 points per game. He moved up to 15th on Wooster's career scoring list on Saturday, and he's now scored 1,465 points.

Hempy was previously selected for the NCAC's weekly honor on January 14, 2019 and January 28, 2019.
