Thanks to the hard work and diligence of many, The College of Wooster's Danyon Hempy has advanced to the quarterfinals of the State Farm "Dark Horse Dunker" competition. He'll need your help once again starting at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, February 19. Voting in the quarterfinal round runs through 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, February 26. Fans can vote once per day per device at DarkHorseDunker.com.

"I just want to thank everyone in the Wooster community and everyone who has supported my career to this point," said Hempy. "Being able to compete in a NCAA dunk contest is something I never thought I would have the chance to do, but through all of you, my dream may become a reality. Let's keep on voting to send a Fighting Scot to the main stage!"

Hempy, who had this highlight-reel dunk against Allegheny College earlier this year, received 53.68% of the votes cast in his first-round matchup against Saint Leo University's Isaiah Hill. Now, he's up against Tarleton State University's Josh Hawley, who received nearly 59% of the votes in his first-round matchup.

The winner of the "Dark Horse Dunker" contest earns a chance to compete at the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, which will take place during NCAA Div. I Final Four weekend (April 2), and will be broadcasted on ESPN.

Be sure to cast your votes daily, and help spread the word, so Hempy can move on to the semifinals.
