Nick Everett, Wooster Basketball NABC Div. III All-District Release | D3hoops.com All-Region Release

The College of Wooster's Nick Everett was one of six players voted to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 7 first-team, as announced by the coaching organization on Tuesday. Additionally, Everett was named second-team All-Region 7 by D3hoops.com, the popular website dedicated to covering NCAA Div. III basketball.

The North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year set new conference and Wooster single-season program records with an astounding 72.8 (134-of-184) field-goal percentage. Everett finished just shy of qualifying for the NCAA Div. III all-time record book, which requires an average of five made field goals per game. Had Everett qualified, his 72.8 field-goal percentage would rank within the top-25 all-time in Div. III history.

Everett ranked second on the team in scoring at 13.5 points per game. The 6-8, 250-pound senior's physicality overmatched nearly every team Wooster played. He made a program-record 24 consecutive field goals spanning Jan. 17 to Feb. 3, with the run snapped two shy of tying the all-time NCAA Div. III record of 26. Everett's year opened with a career-high 25 points in a 78-60 win over the University of Rochester, and by year's end, the career-best was upped to 26 points, which came in an 83-80 overtime win against DePauw University in the quarterfinals of the NCAC Tournament.

The two-time all-conference performer scored at least 18 points six times this season. He averaged 15.7 points over the last 13 games of the season and shot 82.8 percent (77-of-93) from the floor during that stretch. An 11-of-11 night against DePauw headlined the near-83-percent stretch, and also included in there are a pair of 7-of-7 games against Denison University and DePauw in the regular season.

Everett secured at least eight rebounds three times this season, with a high of 10 coming against Edgewood College on Dec. 29. He had three blocked shots at Wittenberg University on Feb. 13 and logged four games with three steals.

Everett's selection marks the second straight year a Fighting Scot has earned NABC All-District honors. Junior Jamir Billings was voted to the second-team as a sophomore.

Wooster went 18-10 for its 35th consecutive season with 18 wins. The Scots advanced to the championship game of the NCAC Tournament before falling to Wabash College. Of note, every full season of Wooster basketball has ended in the NCAA Div. III Championships or the NCAC Tournament final since the 1994-95 season.
