Wooster Nationally Ranked Again, Checking in at No. 16

NCAA Div. III's winningest team of the 2000s is back in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll, checking in at No. 16 this week. Overall, The College of Wooster men's basketball team has now been ranked a record 250 times in the poll, which dates back to 1999-00 season. This is Wooster's first national ranking since Jan. 26, 2020.
Wooster is off to a 4-0 start for the first time since the 2018-19 season with wins over Yeshiva University (85-64), Otterbein University (88-77), La Roche University (84-58), and then-No. 19 University of Mount Union (79-73). Senior Ashton Price leads the team with 20.5 points per game and is one of three Fighting Scots within 75 points of becoming a 1,000-point collegiate scorer. Classmate Jamir Billings is Div. III's active leader in steals and has the second-most career assists of current men's basketball players.
Wooster opens North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday, Nov. 30 with a 7 p.m. home game against Oberlin College (5-0, 0-0 NCAC).
