Billings on D3hoops.com Team of the Week, Named NCAC Athlete of the Week
Senior was MVP of the Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic
The College of Wooster's Jamir Billings averaged 16.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 4.0 steals en route to helping the men's basketball program win the Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic last week, and that earned the senior D3hoops.com Team of the Week and North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday.
The tournament's most valuable player scored a game-high 22 points and went 6-of-9 on 3-pointers in Saturday's 79-73 win over then-No. 19 University of Mount Union. Billings added eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals in the win over the Purple Raiders. Billings had 11 points, six rebounds, six steals, and five assists in Friday's 84-58 rout of La Roche University. The six steals marked the seventh time Billings has had at least six in a game and gave him 250 for this career.
Wooster (4-0, 0-0 NCAC) returns to the court on Saturday, Nov. 30 for a 7 p.m. game against Oberlin College (5-0, 0-0 NCAC).
