Turner Kurt, who scored over 1,000 collegiate points between The College of Wooster and Edinboro University and was an All-North Coast Athletic Conference performer both years with the Fighting Scots, remains at his alma mater as an assistant coach.
Kurt was the hero, clinching the 2022-23 NCAC title – Wooster’s conference-leading 19th – outright with a buzzer-beating, game-winning three-pointer in a 75-74 win over Wabash on February 18, 2023. He ranked fifth on a very balanced offensive team with 10.3 points per game and led the team with 5.2 rebounds per game in 2022-23 and scored 14.2 points to pair with a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game during the 2021-22 season.
The education major is a physical education and health teacher at a local school.
