Wooster Ties for First at Indianbrook Invitational
Angelo earns individual medalist honors with a 73
Junior John Angelo won medalist honors at the one-day Indianbrook Invitational, hosted by Heidelberg University at the golf course by the same name, and The College of Wooster men's golf team tied for first-place.
Behind Angelo's round of 73, two strokes better than anybody else, Wooster totaled a 304, which matched Tiffin University's score. Angelo shot a 36 on the front nine and a 37 on the back.
All four of the Fighting Scots' scorers were in the 70s, as Blake Sword turned in a 76, TJ Selby a 77, and Michael Peters a 78.
Wooster sent four individuals to the event as well, and Jeremy Burke recorded a notable round with a 79.
The Scots wrap up the fall portion of their season with the Wittenberg Invitational Oct. 1-2.
