The College of Wooster men's golf team finished in the middle of the pack at the Wittenberg Rosencrans-Maurer Invitational, as the Fighting Scots placed ninth out of 15 teams during this weekend's 36-hole event at the par-72, 6,684-yard Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Ohio.
The Scots totaled a 621 via a 308 on Saturday, and a similar 313 on Sunday, which was 19 strokes off of fifth-place Wittenberg University (602), and 26 strokes back from co-champions Allegheny College (595) and Ohio Wesleyan University (595).
T.J. Selby positioned himself among the leaders on day one, as he shot a one-under 71 to tie for third-place individually. He would slip a bit on Sunday, though, shooting an 80, which dropped him into a 17th-place tie overall with a combined 151.
Marcus Carano and John Angelo were next in line with a 153 and 154, respectively, while Calvin Milligan (163) and Michael Andes (178) rounded out Wooster's lineup.
The Scots will resume their 2012-13 season in the spring.
