The College of Wooster men's golf team shot its second-lowest round of the fall on Saturday, and the Fighting Scots ended the weekend tied for second-place at the six-team University of Mount Union Fall Invitational, which took place at the par-72, 6,694-yard Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio.

Sophomore Ben Foltz, who was last year's runner-up at Mount Union's Fall Invitational, repeated as a top-five performer with a 5-over-par 149. Foltz was 1-over-par after play on Saturday, and he shot a 76 over the final 18 holes.

Wooster had three 76s in the books on Sunday, as seniors Evan Ferrara and Evan Jenkins matched Foltz for the low round. Ferrara opened with a 75 on Saturday and wound up in ninth-place. Jenkins' back-to-back 76s landed him in the top-10, a first for the political science major since his fifth-place showing in his collegiate debut.

Seniors Mac Bellovich and Jimmy Hinton rounded out the lineup. Bellovich logged a 160 on the weekend and placed 30th, while Hinton tied for 31st-place at 161.

Of note, Wooster's opening-round 300 was three strokes back of the team's season-opening 297 logged over the first round of the Gatorade Collegiate.

Mount Union's two-day 591 kept the tournament hardware with the hosts, while Wooster and Baldwin Wallace University both had a 606. The Purple Raiders' Matt Eddins shot a 4-under-par 170 to win the medalist award.

Next, Wooster's at Baldwin Wallace's Fall Invitational, which takes place on Sunday, September 29 at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley, Ohio.
