Nayak Leads Scots in Fall Finale

Ben Foltz College of Wooster men's golf REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio – First-year Krishang Nayak finished a stroke back of qualifying for the medalist playoff, and The College of Wooster men's golf team tied for fourth-place at the 10-team Capital University Fall Classic, which took place on Monday at Blacklick Woods Golf Course. Wooster shot a 468 at the 27-hole event.

Nayak's 36 was tied for the lowest score on the final nine holes. The Fighting Scots' rookie opened with a 76, and took sixth-place at 112.

Senior Ben Foltz shot a 37 on the final nine holes, and he tied for 12th-place at 115. Foltz carded a 78 on the opening 18 holes.

First-year Noah Jackman's 119 ranked 36th in the 76-player field. Jackman opened with a 79 and signed for a 40 on the final nine.

Sophomore Tyler Hilbert and classmate Jacob Ullom rounded out the lineup. Hilbert tied for 50th-place at 123, while Ullom was a stroke back, and that placed the sophomore in a tie for 55th-place.

Otterbein University's 449 led the way. The Cardinals' Ian Johnston was the medalist at 111. He won the five-player medalist playoff on the second hole.

Monday's event marked the finale of Wooster's fall slate.
