Weschler’s Career Day Leads Wooster Past Mount St. Joseph, 13-6

Mark Weschler, helping the Fighting Scots roll to a 13-6 victory
Saturday afternoon at the College of Mount St. Joseph during
non-conference men's lacrosse action.
In addition to Weschler, who totaled eight points in all, also a
career single-game career-best while tallying two assists, the
Scots got multiple points from junior Alex Mies, sophomore Matt
Pullara, senior Chris Gatsch, and junior Pat Coyne.
Mies collected team-high honors in assists with four, a career
high, and accounted for three goals as well, good for a career-best
seven-point effort, while Pullara tacked on two scores and a
helper. Additionally, Gatsch and Coyne split Wooster's other
two goals and two assists between them.
Defensively, freshman goalie Corey McGann made five saves to help
preserve the victory for the Scots, while Pullara and sophomore
Graham Zimmerman were both credited with six ground balls.
Wooster continues its early season schedule this Wednesday with its
first home game against Trine University (0-1). Face-off is
scheduled for 4 p.m.
