Nick Spittle was voted second-team all-North Coast Athletic Conference and Matt Ranck and Sean Hohan were honorable mention, as The College of Wooster landed three representatives on the All-NCAC Team for men's lacrosse, announced the league office Thursday.

Spittle, now a two-time all-conference pick after being honorable mention as a long-stick midfielder last year, made the transition to defender this spring and excelled, anchoring a Wooster defense that held four opponents to five goals or less. Statistically, the senior standout produced a team-high 24 caused turnovers and 48 groundballs, which marked career bests in both categories, and he made his way to the offensive end occasionally, tallying two assists.

Ranck, a junior attacker, put together a breakout season as he leads the NCAC in goals with 45 after scoring just 14 his first two years combined. While recording the fifth-most goals in school history, he also distributed seven assists for 52 total points to go with 25 groundballs and seven caused turnovers. Ranck notched hat tricks in 10 games, highlighted by a seven-goal explosion against Thiel College on March 21.

Hohan stepped right in as a freshman and took a starting position at defender for all 15 games. He helped the Fighting Scots to a 9.78 team goals against average, and individually, registered 62 groundballs, the second-highest total on the squad, as well as 16 caused turnovers and three assists. Hohan's best outing may have come at archrival Wittenberg University April 21, when he collected 10 groundballs and the two defenses took center stage in a 7-6 game.

A youthful Wooster team went 6-9 overall this spring, a one-win improvement over last season.
