Ted Wells, a rising junior midfielder on The College of Wooster men's lacrosse team, played in the European Lacrosse Festival, the National Team Challenge, and World Junior Indoor Championships this summer as a member of Israel Lacrosse.

Wells made the 38-player roster for the European Lacrosse Festival, which took place in Prague, Czech Republic. After helping Israel win the gold medal, Wells and his teammates played a series of friendly games against national teams. The Fighting Scots' crafty wizard netted a trio of goals while squaring off against national teams from Norway and Poland.

Next, Wells traveled to Hamilton, Ontario for the World Junior Indoor Championships, a box lacrosse tournament, which is played on turf laid down on top of an ice hockey rink. There, Wells competed against U-20 teams from Australia, Canada, Poland, and the United States. He distributed a pair of assists prior to shifting his efforts to helping Israel's team in transition.

"It was an honor to be able to wear a Israel Lacrosse jersey this summer," shared Wells. "It was a really special feeling to get to represent the country in games against other nations in both of the tournaments in Prague and the indoor games in Canada."

Wells' summer trip was extra memorable with younger brother, Greg, a first-year at Lafayette College, also on the team, and per Wells, he's "one of the players I admire the most."

Eligibility for the team included verified Jewish heritage or an Israeli passport. The European Lacrosse Festival team featured a mix of student-athletes already in college and those heading into their freshman year, while the World Junior Indoor Championships was a U-20 team.
