The College of Wooster's Jimmy Fisher is this year's lone repeat North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week, as the conference office tabbed the rookie sensation as its final selection of the 2021 season. This is Fisher's second NCAC weekly award in the last four weeks.

Fisher, Wooster's elite faceoff specialist, went 49-for-62 on faceoffs last week and scooped up an astonishing 34 groundballs. Fisher broke Wooster's single-season program records for faceoff winning percentage (.642) and groundballs (116) during Saturday's 21-9 win over Allegheny College. In that game, Fisher logged an incredible 21 groundballs, with that total marking a new single-game program benchmark and ranking as the seventh-most groundballs in a NCAA Div. III game this spring. Fisher won 25-of-32 faceoffs on Saturday, and he came away with the groundball on 20 of his 25 wins.

Earlier in the week, Fisher went 24-or-30 on faceoffs during Wooster's 15-11 win at Allegheny on Thursday. He scooped up 13 groundballs in that contest.

Through games played May 2, Fisher ranks 12th nationally with 10.55 groundballs per game.

Of note, this is the first time Wooster's won the NCAC Athlete of the Week honor in men's lacrosse twice in a season since 2017. That year, alumnus Matt Parmelee won on April 3, and alumnus Josh Herold followed that up with the award a week later.

Wooster finished the year with a 6-5 record.
