Fisher Part of This Week's USILA Team of the Week
First-year had a record-setting week for the Scots
The College of Wooster's Jimmy Fisher collected another honor for his record-breaking week, as the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association tabbed the Fighting Scots' first-year for the Div. III USILA Team of the Week on Tuesday evening.
Fisher, the first Scot to earn weekly honors from the USILA since senior Shaun Peirce in 2019, went 49-for-62 on faceoffs last week and was responsible for 34 of Wooster's 90 groundballs. Thanks to last week's success, Fisher upped his season faceoff winning percentage to 64.2, and that's the top single-season mark in program history. Fisher's 116 groundballs on the year are the most in single-season program history, while he broke the program's since-game record with 21 in Saturday's 21-9 win over Allegheny College.
In Wooster's first game last week, Fisher went 24-for-30 on faceoffs and had 13 groundballs during a 15-11 win at Allegheny.
Wooster finished the year with a 6-5 record.
