Steffen, Fink Named IMLCA All-Region
Duo were both recognized as All-NCAC earlier this year
Casey Steffen and Will Fink of The College of Wooster men's lacrosse team were recently recognized by the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) and were named Div. III All-Region Second Team.
Steffen was recognized on defense while Fink was recognized for the midfield. The two were previously named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America team and were named honorable mentions with Lane Kellogg.
Steffen also was a member of the All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team. The senior ranked third nationally with 3.61 caused turnovers per game.
An NCAC All-Decade team member as well, Steffen finished with a team-high 65 caused turnovers and added 74 groundballs and three assists.
Fink earned his first All-NCAC honors this year, scoring a career-high 40 goals. It ranked him second on the team, while his 50 points was third. He also recorded his 100th career point this spring.
Fink also added 18 groundballs and three caused turnovers.
Wooster had two IMLCA All-Region honors before back in 2017 and 2018. This is the first time the Scots have had more than one in a single season.
