Our "Senior Salute" series continues with Colton Beaudon, a history major from Rolling Hills Estates, California. Beaudoin is a member of the men's lacrosse team.
Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: Wooster was an outstanding balance of excellent academics and athletics.
Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: Being a Fighting Scot student-athlete means being something bigger than yourself. You are playing for the name on the front of the jersey.
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: My favorite memories at Wooster include all the I.S. Mondays. I enjoy celebrating the seniors and their accomplishments.
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The tight-knit family atmosphere of the team that I get to be a part of.
Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: I am involved with the community breakfast program at Trinity Church.
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Amber Larson, the director of the Academic Resource Center, helped me a lot when I struggled academically. She was always supportive and kind.
Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: Coach Eric Seideman has always been supportive, and I have learned a lot from him. I can always rely on him when I need something.
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: I am analyzing how different congressional acts impacted the historical trajectory of reservation law enforcement in the United States.
Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: We flew to Colorado for spring break my sophomore year. We played a great program at Colorado College, won, and had a fantastic time on the trip.
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: Enjoy your time here because it flies by.
