Manny Burton

Senior Manny Burton led The College of Wooster men's soccer team to two big wins last week and was rewarded as the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week.

Wooster took 3-1 wins against No. 12 Capital University and Muskingum University, giving the Fighting Muskies its first loss of the season in seven games.

Against Capital, Burton scored off a header in the 38th minute to give Wooster the lead and later came out of halftime to score in the 60th minute to put the Scots ahead 2-0. Zacharias Andreou was credited with an assist on both goals.

In the team's win against Muskingum, Burton added his first assist of the season to conclude his week with five points. He leads the team with seven points and three goals.

The Scots take a 3-5 record into Bluffton University on Wednesday.
