Bennett Anderson

Sophomore Bennett Anderson claimed his first North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week honor after helping the Scots to a 2-0 record last week.

After the Scots defeated Hiram College 1-0 earlier in the week, Anderson erased a 1-0 deficit against Wittenberg University to lead Wooster to a 2-1 win in overtime.

Anderson scored both goals against the Tigers. First, he tied the game in the 58th minute and then won the game just 1:06 into the first overtime.

Anderson now leads the team at 11 points, is tied for the team lead with three assists and is tied for second with four goals scored.

The two wins brought Wooster to .500 on the year at 7-7 and 3-2 in the NCAC. They host Kenyon College on Tuesday.
