Scots Secure Another 1-0 Win

NEW CONCORD -- The College of Wooster men's soccer team won their second straight 1-0 contest after defeating Muskingum University on Saturday.

The defense led the way once again as goalkeeper Jason Prather didn't need to record a single save in his 90 minutes in net. The Scots outshot the Muskies 17-5 and didn't allow a shot in the second half.

Wooster's goal came when the team intercepted a pass and found first-year Max Wiley on the right side of the field for the strike in the 28th minute. It was Wiley's team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Both teams took three corner kicks. Muskingum (1-5) keeper Zach Merchesano made eight saves.

Wooster, coming off a 1-0 win versus Heidelberg University, is 5-2 and will look for a season-high win streak of three when they host Bluffton University on Tuesday.
