ALLIANCE -- The College of Wooster men's soccer team took a 2-0 loss at The University of Mount Union on Wednesday.
Wooster was on its heels in the first half but kept the game scoreless. Mount Union finally broke the tie in the 55th minute on a score from Adam Kalvitz.
Mount Union (5-4) then put the game away with its second goal in the 77th minute, off the foot of Mason Lightfritz.
Wooster (5-3-1) struggled to get opportunities, as they were outshot 19-7. However, Wooster was efficient with five shots on goal.
Andrew Beazley made three saves in the first half. Gabriel Thomas took the loss, making two saves in the second half.
Wooster's unbeaten streak ends at four games, having gone 3-0-1 in their last four. Wooster still holds the series lead against Mount Union at 30-11-4.
Next, the men will host Adrian College at 1 p.m. in the first game of a men/women doubleheader at Carl Dale Field.
