The College of Wooster men's soccer team continued play in one of the toughest men's soccer conferences in the country, falling to 16th-ranked Kenyon College 3-0 on Tuesday.
Kenyon (8-2-3, 2-2 NCAC) reached as high as second nationally last week but dropped to 16th after pair of conference losses to Ohio Wesleyan University, 3-0, and 17th-ranked Denison University, 2-1.
Wooster, coming off a 4-0 loss to Wittenberg University, saw similar issues arise on Tuesday, like letting the ball get deep into their own territory.
For the game's first score, the Scots let a ball get right in front of the net, allowing Eamon Dujakovich in the 11th minute.
Dujakovich later added on in the 22nd minute as he struck from the corner of the goal box as keeper Andrew Beazley had little reaction time to make a solid save attempt.
Wooster was able to keep the Owls scoreless for the next 55-plus minutes of action until Gerardo Martinez scored on another ball too close to Wooster's net.
Beazley and Gabriel Thomas each played a half in goal. Thomas made two saves.
Wooster was outshot 12-5.
Wooster moves to 7-6-1 overall and 2-2 in the NCAC after taking its second straight conference loss.
The road does not get much easier for the Scots, who will travel to Wabash College next on Saturday.
