DELAWARE – The College of Wooster men's soccer team continued to face a tough stretch of North Coast Athletic Conference games on Saturday with a 4-0 loss to Ohio Wesleyan University.
Ohio Wesleyan, who stays unbeaten in conference play, got on the board in the 16th minute with the first of two goals from Franklin Rodriguez. Twenty minutes later, Brooker Jaggar scored his first of two goals for the Battling Bishops, who took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Rodriguez and Brooker capped off their nights with goals in the 67th and 69th minutes, respectively, to give Ohio Wesleyan enough of a cushion for victory.
Ohio Wesleyan (10-3-2, 5-0-1 NCAC) outshot Wooster 31-10. Half of Wooster's shots were on goal, but Ohio Wesleyan keeper Sam Whitman saved them all.
Wooster keeper Andrew Beazley made four saves in 66 minutes, while Gabriel Thomas made a save in 24 minutes of action.
Wooster moves to 7-8-1 overall and 2-4 in the NCAC. The Scots host Denison University on Wednesday.
