With victories in the top three singles' slots, along with the top two doubles' pairings, The College of Wooster was able to get past home standing Wittenberg University by a 6-3 count Sunday afternoon in a North Coast Athletic Conference interdivisional matchup inside the Springfield Racquet Club.

Wooster (14-5, 2-1 NCAC East) posted a point in a close match at No. 1 singles. Senior Pat Grab won the first set 6-2, but lost the second in a tiebreaker by a 7-4 mark. However, he rebounded with a convincing 6-2 third-set triumph. Notching a victory during singles play was Matt Mandell at No. 6, also going to a tiebreaker after the first set, winning it easily 7-1, and calmly claimed his match with a 6-3 score in the second set.

At first doubles, Grab and Arenstein teamed up and improved their record to 11-8 on the spring with an 8-1 decision over their opponents, while Hoch and Dominik cruised to an 8-2 triumph at No. 2, as the pair moved their record to 13-4 together.

With the loss, Wittenberg dropped to 14-6 overall and remains 3-1 in the NCAC West.
