Hoch Represents Wooster as Men's Tennis All-NCAC Selection

Matt Hoch Following a promising season as the No. 1 singles player on the men's tennis team, College of Wooster sophomore Matt Hoch was made a second-team selection on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team on Thursday.

The Scots were uncharacteristically sub-par in 2010, but Hoch recorded a respectable 6-8 record while competing against No. 1 talent all season long. Hoch began his spring with three-consecutive victories, including a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over Ohio WesleyanOhio Wesleyan University that helped propel Wooster to a 5-4 win and a 3-0 start to the season.

Hoch dropped several close battles during the team's annual spring break trip, but later picked up steam, highlighted by a lengthy super tiebreaker win against Calvin College during the Great Lakes Colleges Association Tournament. Then in the consolation semifinals at the NCAC Tournament, Hoch nearly led the Scots to victory by winning both his No. 1 singles and doubles matches in a 5-4 loss to Ohio Wesleyan.
