The College of Wooster men's tennis team picked up a pair of rather decisive wins in singles action, but Ohio Wesleyan University held off the Fighting Scots the rest of the way and won 7-2 on Monday at the Gordon Field House in Delaware, Ohio.

David Greetham recorded Wooster's most impressive result, with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles. Also notching a win was Zack Rotter 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 4 spot in the order.

The Scots had some other solid efforts in singles matches, as No. 1 Landon Moore and No. 2 Nick Biniker each posted competitive opening set scores, but wound up falling 6-4, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-2, respectively.

In doubles action, the No. 1 team of Biniker and Paul Thomas were dropped 8-5 in another closely-contested setback.

Wooster (4-15, 0-3 NCAC) will look to end the season on an up note at the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Oberlin, Ohio.
