The College of Wooster men's tennis team logged some key wins in singles action against Allegheny College, but the Gators swept all three doubles matches and dropped the Fighting Scots by a 6-3 margin Saturday afternoon in a North Coast Athletic Conference East Division match-up at Meadville, Pa.

The Gators (7-6, 2-0 NCAC) jumped out to a 3-0 lead during doubles competition, and although the Scots (6-8, 0-2 NCAC) were unable to overcome the deficit, they did make some noise in singles.

Paul Thomas notched the most decisive win, as he topped his opponent at the No. 2 spot in the lineup by set scores of 6-1, 6-2. Zack Rotter was involved in a marathon at No. 3 singles that he eventually won 7-6 (7-4), 5-7, 10-6, and No. 6 John Schulz picked up Wooster's other victory 6-3, 7-5.

Next, Wooster will host Kenyon College (12-4) on April 16 at 4 p.m.
