The College of Wooster men's tennis team competed against one of the toughest squads in the nation Monday afternoon, as the Scots hosted No. 4 ranked Kenyon College in a North Coast Athletic Conference East match-up that was moved indoors to the Scot Center due to a wind advisory. Kenyon won the match 9-0.

The Lords (14-4, 1-0 NCAC East) came into the match ranked fourth in the nation, and first in the Central region, in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association polls.

Early on in doubles, the Scots (6-9, 0-3 NCAC East) notched their best result at the No. 2 spot, where Zack Rotter and Nick Biniker came up short 8-3.

Then in singles action, Paul Thomas was competitive in a 6-2, 6-3 setback at No. 2, while No. 4 Jacob Pine took three points in the opening set of a 6-3, 6-0 defeat.

The Scots have a busy week ahead, as they will play three matches in three days, starting with a visit to Denison University (14-5, 2-0 NCAC West) Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
