For the second time in as many matches, The College of Wooster men's tennis team fell to a nationally-ranked squad as No. 29 Denison University put together a 9-0 decision over the Fighting Scots Wednesday afternoon in Granville, Ohio.

Despite the loss, Wooster (6-10) had some promising performances, starting with Paul Thomas and Landon Moore, who pushed the sixth-ranked doubles team in the NCAA Div. III Central Region before succumbing 8-5 at the No. 1 position.

In singles play, Nick Biniker extended his opponent at the fifth spot to a tiebreaker in the second set, ultimately falling by a 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) line, while Moore won five games in a 6-2, 6-3 setback at No. 2.

The Scots return to action on Thursday with a match at Wittenberg University (15-6) at 4:30 p.m.
